Choice

Choice is the most powerful tool we have. Everything boils down to choice. We exist in a field of infinite possibilities. Every choice we make shuts an infinite number of doors and opens an infinite number of doors. At any point we can change the direction of our lives by a simple choice. It is all in our hands, our hearts and our minds.

Which one of our Characters of Character reflects the word choice? It is Responsible Rabbit. A child will understand and internalize this character trait and the simplicity in how the character teaches on the word responsibility. When you make a choice, you also choose the consequence. Therefore, it’s important to be aware of both, your choice and the consequence.

5 Affirmations To Help Make Good Choices

  1. I choose how I react

  2. I AM in control of the choices I make

  3. I AM responsible for my choices

  4. I AM proud of my decisions

  5. I AM responsible for my attitude

"Until the great mass of the people shall be filled with the sense of responsibility for each other's welfare, social justice can never be attained." ~Helen Keller

Why Is Making Good Choices and Being Responsible Important?

As we know, life presents us with many choices that will influence our goals and our achievements. When we are Personal responsible, it allows us to:

  • Accept the outcome of the choice we make

  • learn from the outcome, if it was good or not

  • Choices are either right or wrong, grow from the choices made

Responsible Rabbit is one of the nine Characters of Character helping to reinforce and to teach a child to be responsible. Discuss with your own children or students what it means to be responsible and let them ponder the choices they make during the day. They will learn to grow from the choices that are made, good or bad, right or wrong, it’s part of learning how to be a responsible person and grow into a responsible adult and making good choices.
