Mindful Monday Word-Sparkle

When you think of the word ‘Sparkle’ do a lot of visions come to mind? I mean after all, diamonds sparkle, stars sparkle, the sun and the moon sparkle! For me, when I think of the word sparkle, so many simple and positive words come to my mind that sparkle. For example, you may have a personality that sparkles! The word means many different things to all of us. However, when I speak of sparkle today, I think of the above question, “What makes you sparkle” Whatever it is, do more of that! The world needs more sparkle.

How can YOU Sparkle:

  • Use encouraging words when conversing with family and friends

  • Spend unconditional time with family and friends, don’t be in a rush, enjoy each other, embrace one another

  • Find gratitude in everyday life, the simple things will make you so happy

  • Make good choices

  • Get involved in community, an organization, your church, school or library. Even the local Food Pantry or Retirement community

  • Work on keeping a positive mindset

  • Set a good example of being a good person

In this season of Thankful and Gratitude, I encourage you to sparkle! Let’s teach our children to sparkle, to shine and to reach for the stars! Encourage, engage and empower them in conversations as often as you can. Their minds are amazing, their outlook on life is unconditional and I can not tell you how much they need you to guide them in their journey. Encouragement is so important. I can remember when our kids were babies and cried, it was said to not pick them up all time. Now, to each their own, however, for me, I cherished every tear so that I could hold them, embrace them and encourage them. You’ll spoil them others would say, for me, that was just nonsense! Today, I encourage you to allow your child to sparkle, to bring positive conversations to them, to help them form a positive mindset. You may have to redirect them in this process, try it, it really does work. Besides, what a wonderful world this would be if we all just added a little bit of sparkle to each others day! Be your own kind of sparkle!
