My Positive Statements
Building confidence at an early age is so important because confidence assists children in feeling accepted and wanted. Confidence allows children to feel proud of their accomplishments. Confidence encourages children to get excited about trying new things. Confidence helps children develop coping skills to handle mistakes. Most importantly, confidence helps children love and accept who they are.
There are limitless possibilities on how children can build up their confidence. One way is by using positive statements.
For those who are familiar with our nonprofit organization you might recognize that lovable face above as Self-Esteem Elephant. Self-Esteem Elephant teaches children to be proud of themselves, their work, and their accomplishments.
Positive statements are a great way to help children switch their mindset from going down a negative path to being able to view their differences, obstacles, and challenges as an opportunity to grow. While it’s important for us, as humans, to feel and experience our emotions, it’s also important to not get stuck in that dark place of beating ourselves up over mistakes or the feeling of not being good enough.
That’s why we put together a free poster for you to hang as a visual reinforcement around your home, classroom, office, and everywhere in between! Flip that switch and encourage the children in your life to love and accept themselves as they are.
